The house

Maison Margiela Fragrances was established in 2010 in Paris (France) under the broader Maison Margiela fashion house founded by Martin Margiela in 1988. The fragrance division launched the Replica collection, built around the concept of scent as a reconstruction of specific memories and places. Each Replica fragrance references a named setting and a precise date, giving the line its distinctive narrative format.

The Replica collection achieved broad commercial success within niche perfumery distribution channels, with several entries becoming standard recommendations in the category. By the Fireplace (2015), composed by Marie Salamagne, with its smoky woody structure, became among the best-known in the lineup and is frequently cited as an accessible entry point for niche perfumery buyers.

On Osmetheca, Maison Margiela is represented by one fragrance: Replica By the Fireplace (2015), composed by Marie Salamagne, a smoky woody floral built around guaiac wood and chestnut cream.
