Sakura is part of the recent Eau de Parfum additions to the Ormonde Jayne range, released in 2022. It is an homage to the cherry blossom, the sakura whose brief flowering marks spring in Japan, a flower famous for being almost without fragrance and so evoked here by suggestion rather than reconstruction.
It opens on a fresh green and citrus accord of green notes, pink pepper, bergamot, lime, mandarin and coriander seed, then turns to a delicate heart of cherry blossom, water lily, osmanthus, rose, freesia, cyclamen and violet.
